Niaz majored in political sciences at University of British Columbia, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree. She went on to complete her Juris Doctor at Bond University. Niaz completed her articles at one of Vancouver’s largest criminal defense law firms, Myers Karp Patey & Allingham Trial Lawyers, where she represented clients in court on a daily basis. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2017.
Niaz’s practice focuses primarily on family law and dispute resolution. She has ample experience representing clients before the BC Provincial Court and BC Supreme Court. Niaz also actively engages in collaborative law processes such as mediation and other dispute resolution forums.
Niaz believes strongly in a client centered practice. While she is a strong advocate in court, she also offers her clients other manners of resolution and reaching settlement on family law matters outside of court.
Niaz has experience in drafting complex and comprehensive cohabitation, marriage, and separation agreements. Niaz works hard to build meaningful, trusting relationships with clients and she strives to offer personalized and strategic solutions for her clients. She values efficiency and transparency when it comes to the quality of work she presents her clients with. Niaz is also experienced in drafting wills.
Niaz is fluent in Farsi.
In her spare time Niaz enjoys practicing yoga and going for hikes and walks in nature.
